Amtrak Trials First Biodiesel Powered Train

US passenger railroad Amtrak has joined with the states of Oklahoma and Texas to undertake the country’s first test of a renewable biodiesel fuel blend to power a daily interstate passenger train between Oklahoma City and Fort Worth, with the aim of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the use of imported oil.
