MILAN, Sept 18 (Reuters) - Italy, Europe's third-biggest biodiesel producer, sticks to its goal to boost output despite the European Parliament's plans to lower a key target for biofuels use, a leading industry official said on Thursday.
Last week, the European Parliament's industry committee raised sector concerns when it voted to cap at 6 percent the share of biofuels made from crops in a 10 percent target for renewable energy in a road transport fuel mix set for 2020.
