The catchphrase in Englehart these days is “Biodiesel“. A local business, Woods Group of Companies, is on the cusp of building a multi-million dollar biodiesel plant.
It’s anticipated that this new plant will initially produce 20 million litres of biodiesel each year out of waste grease from restaurants. The raw material is being supplied by a Montreal based company that collects 500 million litres of what is known in the trade as “yellow grease”.
