FT-0120 & FT-0121 Acid Number Test
Description
This threshold test indicates whether biodiesel fuel exceeds industry specifications for acid number value, a key indicator of biodiesel degradation. There are two versions, one for biodiesel blends (B5, B20) and one for pure biodiesel (B99,B100). The thresholds are based on 0.3mgKOH/g fuel (blends), and 0.5mgKOH/g fuel (B100).
When to use it
This test should be used as an initial screening test for fuel deliveries and for periodic monitoring of fuel quality at the dispenser and storage tanks. It can also be used as a vehicle maintenance diagnostic to detect degraded fuel in seasonal use vehicles. Works for diesel, biodiesel, biodiesel blends.
